The External Quality Assessment solution manages interlaboratory
quality control and enables an institution to compare the quality
performance of laboratories and support decision-making. This
involves following a standard guideline through the several steps of
a laboratory analysis, in order to establish reference values and
assess the significance of results.
Such an information system can be made of three major integrated
modules of external quality assessment, web portal; and statistic
operations.

The External Quality Assessment solution has been developed in close
cooperation between system analysts and medical practitioners. Within
the system, there are different modules designed for the specific needs
of each organizational unit. All modules' features can be accessed in
accordance to the user's privileges.
The data is stored centrally in a single database. Database transactions are performed on-line
in real time.
